Hey All,

I own a 1973 Chrysler Valiant (Australian Model)

it has a 245 Hemi Inline 6

I recently upgraded the alternator from the std 35AMP Unit to a 120AMP Unit.

Now My Question is Should i Leave the Original Wiring and add onto it or replace it with the planned 4Guage?

Battery is an Optima Orange Top (700CCA)

My System is:

JayCar Response 2x150 (1x500)

Kenwood 4x150 (2x300)

Pioneer 10" Free Air Sub

Rockford Fosgate 6.5" 2 Way Coaxials (Front)

Pioneer 6" 3 Way Coaxials (Rear)

Wiring to the AMPS is 2 Guage Until the Boot then it splits into 4 Guage Both are Fused and have 4 Gauge Grounds

I am Upgrading the Big Three But Want to know what the experts have to say about the std wiring for 35AMP alternators

As long as the cables supplying your high-current loads can handle the current, there is no real need to upgrade the cables supplying your existing loads. Add your high capacity cables to the existing ones.

Ok Upgraded the Cabling an No More Dimming lights and the system was more power!
