i have a 05 gmc sierra, with bose it has tape and cd, what is the best way to wire the ipod with out the transmitter that wires in to my antenna, thanks

If you have AUX button on the stereo then PAC IPod interface. You'll need IPAC-OEM & AB-GM12. Check out

we use a ton of these pieces, they work great and have had next to no problems with them....we used to try the peripheral pieces but didn't like them cause of poor sound quality and didn't co exist with the xm very well

Without Auxilary the FM transmitter or a cassette adapter are your only options with a factory deck.

Call PAC at Tel: 800-854-3133 they will tell you exactly whether or not your stereo is compatible.

Hey KarTuneMan...

What do you know about the BlitzSafe "Universal iPod Interface"?

The website says nothing about it, and when you click the application guide, it gives you a catalog for them, which tells me that for the 2001-2004 S60 has nothing yet, as far as interfaces go. So, is there nothing yet, or is the "Universal" interface not REALLY universal, or is a small combination of the both of those coming into play, here...

One of the girls I work with has a 2004 Volvo S60, and I was asked today "Why can't I do that with my car?", referring to my connecting of my MP3 player to my deck in my car... So I started looking for her.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

You do not necesarily have to have an Aux button for an IPod intergrater to function. On some cars that are set up for a stock external CD changer the CD button will act as two sources.

Press once for CD and a second time will take you to the secondary source usually indicated as CD-1 on display. The Peripheral IPod2Car will do this for sure as long as you have that extra plug spot on back of head unit. Pull out the head unit and look for this empty spot and if you have it you should be good to go. The model number on the Peripheral one that is for your car is PXDPKG.

We sell them here at Fry's, but I'm sure that other retailers have them so you don't have to get it online. That way in case it doesn't work you can still return it.
