i was thinking about doing a little upgrading from my mtx895 five channel amplifier to either a KICKER *KX700.5* or an Eclipse *XA5000* they both seem to be pretty good for what i'm looking for. i want somthing that will very clear. i'm running a kdc-x889 head unit, eclipse 6.5" in the rear and thinking about running boston sx65 in the front and i have an infinity kappa perfect vq for my sub. any help with chosing between the 2 amps would be great. thanks. ooh and if it helps the type of music that would be played would maily be like soft soul, jazzy type beats.

Not me, I would choose Eclipse over Zapco in this case. Once again Eclipse has delivered a kick *** 5 channel amplifier in the full range class D icepower design.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

Eclipse - and that's a hands down choice over the Kicker.
Eclipse vs. Zapco? Tough choice, but I'd probably go with the Zapco as well.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I prefer amps with a high distortion rating because I listen to alot of loud rock music.

KIDDING....not getting involved..lol
