I have a 2002 Mustang Gt that im installing a system in, i just installed the Knukonceptz positive battery terminal, ran my 4 guage wire and rca cables, i crimped the battery cable to a ring connector, and installed it on the battery, now when im driving the guages act up and the stereo turns off, and on top of that the car whants to shut off  WHILE driving...Did i do something wrong??? I didnt use a crimper, i smashed it whith a vise-grip, should i solder it to the ring terminal??? how do you do this??? what did i do wrong??? the car was 100% fine before the install.

is the connection 100% secure? any play in the tightness of the terminal could affect this. Did you change any other wiring?

if its messing with the gauges and making the car want to turn of it sounds like your batt is grounding out, might want to check everything out and make sure you did everything right

I didn't change any other wiring, just ran the power wire to the trunk, the factory uses two wires a 4 guage it seems and a seperate 8 guage which is i think the altenatoe wire because it seems to go to the fuse box, so i used two seperate ring terminals because i didn't have a big enough one for both wires, if there's any play in the wires will it cause this??? like i said i had to use a vise-grip to crimp them...should i Solder them to the ring terminals???

The power wire is hooked up to the terminal but i have not put an amp in the car yet, I sealed off the end of the power wire with duct tape...would this make the battery ground out since it's hooked up to the battery terminal???
