Rockford bd1500 1 ohm?

I have 2 rockford hx2 subs (Dual 4 ohm) and i was wondering if  my bd1500 could run at 1 ohm pretty stable or do i need to wire them to 4 ohm and run a 4 ohm load.   Thanks

My bd1000 will not run staple at 1 ohm. It kept going into protection.

Do not wire to 1 ohm, rewire to 4. A 1 ohm load will definitely kill this amplifier and especially if you have a bad ground. The "What is a proper ground" sticky was made after this gereration of Rockford amplifiers were found to be prone to bad grounds so double check that you do indeed have a good ground.

4 ohms will be LOADS of power, those amps are under rated and that should be quite loud and safe.

what do you consider a good ground?  I have grounding terminals that my power wire goes into and i have the ground from the kit which is a factory crimped terminal that i would use and ground directly.
