I installed an aftermarket stereo in my 1991 ford mustang lx coupe and now i don't have any dash lights. I had two wires unaccounted for and am thinking they probably have something to do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The wire you used for ground is actually the illumination wire.   It appears to be ground until you turn on the lights, then it becomes the positive 12 volt wire to light the bulbs on your factory radio.

Pull the radio out cut the ground wire and then attatch the ground wire from the radio to the chassis of the car.

the radio lights work, the problem is the dash lights for the gauge cluster don't light up.

I got the dash lights to work. Turns out I had the illumination wire hooked up to the stereo ground and it blew the fuse for the dash lights. I removed the radio ground wire and hooked it up to the red wire which is the ground wire on these cars. Thanks for the help.
