Could someone tell me what setup to use for a remote control to operate a CD7000 Eclipse head unit that i want to put in the glove box of my 67 camaro.I want to be able to use a remote with the glove box closed.The head unit came with infa red.Thanks.

You can use a universal steering wheel interface from a company as PAC, Peripheral, and Scosche. The easiest way is probably to build a controller using resistors. Choose which functions on the remote you want to use, and set it up accordingly.

Why not try this product from Pac it was designed for this exact purpose

Good find, been loooking for something to do the same thing for a buddy of mine. now I don't have to take out the ir receiver from the headunit.
