Hey Guys,
I have a 2004 Envoy SLT with OnStar/NON BOSE and am about to replace the HU with a Double Din DVD.
I have read all of the posts about these adapters here and am confused about what brand I should buy. Peripheral/PAC/Soundgate/Metra.....
I was just wondering if you guys could give any feedback about issues you may have had with the different adapters and which seems to be the "preferred" brand.
I have been reading about defective units and "cheap" sounding chimes and noise/feedback...and so on and was hoping you could help me decide which to buy before I fork out a $150 on one.
Thanks!

What headunit are you considering installing? I use the Soundgate interface for GM vehicles with Onstar. They have proven to be a good unit.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

Thanks Forbidden,
This is the info I am looking for....basically reassurance.
I bought a Legacy Double Din for now........just to keep the kids happy untill I can afford a Nav system. I want to get the Viper 5900 first...it has priority.
