i tore apart my cadillac trying to find were the speaker wires go from there and it ends up in the dash were i dont want to take apart with out knowing were to go and destroy it, trying to turn a amp bose system to a regular system already disconected the amps wires left the reg neg and pos took the pins out of the plug for both rear speakers tested the rear speakers with the new head unit and sounded great considering i had to sit in the trunk with the headunit . got the aftermarket harness for the power no problem there but the rear speaker wires are yellow/brown LR and lightblue/darkblue RR from the rear now up front there completly different colors and alot less but from were the tunerbox use to be in the trunk to the front of the car is all the same color, i can not figure out why or how there are less wires to the factory harness and changed since the tunerbox is in the rear were everything is changed, my right front amp blew today wich brings the count to 3 blown amps running with one speaker is not fun and new amps are 150 a pice, if anyone could send me a diagram of were these wires get consolidated so i can run them to the new head unit and wich wires would be best to connect constant, memory and ground wire useing the old wiring to the factory head unit would be a huge help from me jumping off a bridge with gm's rediculess configuration of a sound system, thanks!

If this is actually a bose system the wires are the same color as standard but the speaker wires from the dash are inputs to the bose amps..you will not be able to use those for speakers unless you bypass the bose amps.

For the front the amps are in each door in the speaker enclosures. LF+ tan LF-gray

RF+lt green RF+dk green.You can bypass them in each door, no other way other then running new wires from doors to dash.

The rears may be off one amp but you already got the colors....you can run wires from the amp input wires from the factory amp to the speakers...or just run new wires from the speakers to the dash,your choice.

There are no other shortcuts in these sevilles..they just suck.

Also note if you are trying to use an aftermarket deck to run straight to the bose speakers...it is strongly not reccomended. The bose speaker are 2 ohms..which will play..but cause the deck to overheat..sound like ass an clip at high volumes...and most likely damage the decks internal amp in time...change the speakers as well.trust me...been there done that.

what would u reccomend for a new set up clarion,pioneer seeing as you have done this before, have a new dual XDM7510 220watt, how long could i go with the bose speakers? and have you even herd of the bose speakers outlasting the amps?

to your first question I can't really give an honest opinion because I do not use clarion speakers..however I like thier decks..I do use pionner with good results.your best bet for speakers is to go to a store that has displays and take a listen..if the difference in quailty does not sound that different in YOUR opinion..purcahse the ones that cost less..at least thats what I do. Make sure you have some kind of return/exchange policy in case you are not happy with the sound in the car.

As for how long you can go using the Bose speakers....depends..it's a gamble but if you listen at low to moderate volumes and do not hear any audible distortion or clipping....it could last quite a while, I have seen installs where they didn't know the bose were 2ohm and it worked at lower volumes..but IMO it is not a good idea if you want a reliable system and a long life from the head unit.

And yes..I have seen the bose speakers outlast the amps..they go bad all the time..but the car is a 92....15 years old..do you really think the paper cone bose speakers have much life left as well? I doubt it.
