Hi guys.Did anyone hear something about Q-DOS cables (4chanel RCA)?

Are they good?

as I was questioning a friend of mine (an IASCA world champion) on this very subject, he told me that if he was paying money for RCA cords, he would simply run a piece of primary wire between two RCA jacks...I am not sure if I would go that far personally, but alot of marketing gimmicks are employed when advertising for different RCAs...

I personally run Monster Cable 201XLNs because I like the cosmetics of them and the heavy jacket...I have honestly listened to over a dozen different set of RCAs one after another (from 5 dollar generic RCAs to top of the line brands and top models) in my car and I never noticed any significant difference...through most of them there was no difference at all...and its not like I am running a factory system either, if there was actually a difference I am sure I would pick up on it...

Alot of it has to do with the shielding around the cable. I've actually melted some of the cheaper ones before. Phoenix Gold makes good cables, I've heard nothing but excellent things about Monster (although they are a little high in price), alot of people are using Stinger as well. Just like Big Purds, I've never really noticed a difference in the sound with different cables in my car. Some of the better ones may have better shielding, which would possibly allow you to run the cables closer to the power wires (but that's never a good idea anyway) with less interfearence. Cosmetics are another point of choice. If you are going to be hideing your amps/connections, then why spend twice the price for a "better looking" cable. However if you enjoy showing off the fruits of your labor, then you may want to pay a little more for that "Custom" look.
