I installed a stereo in my 93 Mazda protege LX. But the switched 12V cuts out when I turn on the lights. I've traced it to the tail/dash lights - if I pull that fuse, the stereo does not cut out when I turn the lights on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you have your ACC wire connected to an illumination or dimmer wire. In any case, it is not connected properly. Do not drive the car with the tail light fuse pulled.
