I have a 07 Tahoe without the Bose system and I wanted to run an aftermarket amp, but having problems trying to find a wire for the amp turn on (remote wire). The only choice I was left was to tap into the ignition harness, but I read where that wasn't good due to not enough current. Can anyone help me with this?

Use a relay off of the ignition/accessory wire.

Check the white wire in the radio's black 14 pin plug. It should turn the amp on and off.

Is there a relay diagram for wiring a relay off the ignition?
