I very new to this whole car stereo wiring thing, and I'm trying to put in my own after market head unit, but I have hit a little bump in the road and can't seem to figure it out and don't want to screw up me new stereo.

I and putting in an Alpine CDE-9852, it has a Remote Turn-On Lead, but I don't have an AMP in my car and I don't know if I have a factory AMP, it there is one I don't know which wire it is.  If I just don't connect this to anything am I going to screw up my unit.

Next question is; coming from the waring harness I have an Orange and white wire that says "Positive Illumination", I don't have anything to hook it too, and I can't find any information on what the thing is for. My problem might be that my wiring harness is for an older Alpine stereo, probably put in around 2001, but once again I don't know if that is the problem or not.

Help me out, I am getting really bored of no tunes in my car.

I wish my grass were emo, so it would cut itself.

if you do have an amp, hook up the blue wire from cd player to blue wire in harness, or blue and white.  if you don't dont worry about it.  FOr the illumination, just cap off those wires and forget about them.  not needed at all.

If you have an amplifier it the car door will be branded Infinity and the amplifier is located under the driver side rear seat.
