Hi, i'm new to this forum and really needed an answer.
So i've been having this problem with my system for a while.
i have a double din setup with a pioneer avxp8dvd running off a pioneer deh-7700.
Recently, my dvd player has not been turning on. But usually turns on a while after i start driving. Sometimes it will turn on immediately. My cd deck (7700) is 100% fine...
what do you experts think? sorry i'm a complete noob.

It sounds to me like an intermittent connection somewhere. It can be anywhere- in your wiring, a cold solder joint inside the component itself, a faulty ribbon cable, etc. Double check your wiring, and if nothing comes up, if it's still under warranty, send it in for repair.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
