I'm go to invest in a new Audio system, I have a Toyota Tacoma extra cab..can someone give me some advise on a CD Receiver that works well with a Ipod and has a remote control, I installed a kenwood receiver MP228 with a KCA-iP500 Ipod controller in my daughters Honda it works OK., Anyone have any experience with a receiver that works good with a ipod, it seemed like the kenwood wasn't very  user friendly, it only displayed some of the Ipods menus. once it started to play  music from the ipod it was hard to chang artist or albums,

Thank Mark

Find peripheral part # PXDPKA, this works with an OE radio, unless it has a factory 6 disc. If you are planning to install an aftermarket deck, use  a PXDPA , and pick your harness to connect to the deck you have. Alpine, Sony, Kenwood, and Pioneer cables (most models) are available.

Alpine 9852 and up with a 422i cable from Alpine. Simple one wire hook up,no brain box or anything, run the wire to the glove box...done.Keeps it charged while you totally control it though the radio, and its quick.Unlike a few other ipod connectors this one has no lag going through the menus or songs...as fast as you can turn the knob,it moves.
Thats my 2 cents if your gonna buy a new head unit

I second that, the Alpine head units work very well with an iPod.
