Hey guys, stupid question.. One of my mids crackles or sounds slightly staticy in some songs, seems to be with high frequencies. Almost sounds like theres a plastic shopping bag rattling around in front of it sometimes. Most of the time its good, its always the same speaker and seems to be worse when the truck is cold from winter. The system is a 2-way component setup with crossovers and a 4 channel amp. Is the speaker blown? or could it possibly be the crossover?

Could be the speaker, or it could even be moisture barrier inside the door. Could be that when the plastic parts of your car are cold, they don't fit as tightly as they do when they are warm, thus the rattle.
MANY options are possible, here. The ONLY way to find out is tear it apart, and find out.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
