Hi I am running 2 15 inch JBL GTO series subwoofers in my 1996 Chevy Cavalier 4 door, which is being pushed by a Lanzar 2 channel 4000w amp. They hit amazing right now but i wondered if anyone can give any suggestions on making them pound a little harder. i am running 4 gauge wire to my battery and ground, and 12 gauge to my subs themselves. they are in a pretty niced size box and can be seen here

Build a ported box
What model is your amp...I highly doubt it is a real 4000 watt amp...most likely around 500-600 clean watts...not trying to dis your stuff...Lanzar amps are low quality, highly overrated cheap amps.

big 3 upgrade-try a 0 gauge power wire.  high output alternator.  what kind of head unit?  maybe a better rca signal might help.  you are only as strong as your weakest link...
