Hey everyone, I'm glad to see this forum is still around, with some much great informaton available.

I used to be an installer, but now im a tech for fire alarm / building systems, its amazing being out the the field for a few yers all but put me in the dark as far as product knowledge goes. I'm looking for a replacement for an old Pioneer DEH-P5200. I liked the sub-out control and built in high-pass crossover. I was wondering whats on the market with these two features with the addition of an AUX input jack ( preferably on the faceplate ) to connect a Zune. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Rich

If you wish to stick with the pioneer brand..yours is a "200" series...we are now up to "900" series.

The newer version dehp5900ib is fully loaded with everything and more then you had...in addition the market is steering towards more features..lower price. This unit can be had for 150-200 dollar range depending where you shop. Hope this at least gives you a starting point, as mentioned previosly there are thousands of choices in this range and as far as what is better for you..is up to only you.

    Thanks for the replies,

I guess i thought it was gonna be harder to find what i was looking for. I'll probably stick with pioneer, I've always had good luck with them.

Yeah things have changed the last few years..now even cheapo no name brands are loaded to the hilt, I actually have more trouble finding simple units for the older customers that can't even figure out how to turn the decks on and off... I haven't seen too many decks with an on or off switch. They don't know what "source" means..and never will.

Anyhow, I personally do not like to open up the can of worms with brand preference on forums but I do sell and install pioneer and find them quite reliable. The only occasional issue is with motorized faces..but seriously...tell me no one is EVER forces those to close, or the kids hanging on it and spilling juice ..and the occasional "piggy bank" in the CD slot...lol..well if you ever work in retail you know.

I can say you will like the new units.

    Good Luck
