static from brand new tweeters

i just installed a new pair of components and there is a slight static coming from the tweeters...it's very annoying my setup is: CDT Audio EF-61FG with TW-25 Tweeters. Alpine CDA-7892 HU with Media Exander set to "Mp3 Mode" (seems to have the least static.) the internal amp is bypassed and the high pass filter is set at 80hz. Alpine MRP-F250 Amp bridged to 2ch with gain at 0 running the components. 8g stinger power wire routed away from stinger interconnect going to the amp. big 3 upgrade with 0/1g power wire. peripheral electronics ipod cord. i tried various cd's and the static shows its ass worse. at least the problem is fixable whether it be new tweeters (hope not, mine are BRAND NEW), my wiring, or something else. to be more specific on my current setup the 6.5's are mounted in a 3/4" mdf ring that is mounted to a sound deadened door with an airtight seal around it and the big holes covered with sound deadening. my headunit is an alpine cda-7892 with the internal amp bypassed. the gain on my bridged mrp-f250 amp is currently at zero but it gets plenty loud. with this setup i highly doubt im overdriving anything at all.16g monster standard wire goes from the amp to the crossovers to the speakers. the tweeter wire had to be extended to be mounted in the factory locarion behind the sideview mirror, this is where my problem might be. the connection is somewhat ghetto because i lost my soldering iron and had no more crimp connectors. they are twisted and electrical taped... any help would be great.

Solder your connections, or at the very least properly crimp them.  You should have eliminated that possiblilty right from the start.  Second thing that strikes me...your gain setting.  How did you arrive at "0" setting?  Is it because the amp is labelled as "NOM" in that general area of the gain travel?Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Also you may want to improve the ground on your amp and on your HU.Support the12volt.com

i believe the grounds on both the amp and hu are fine. i will solder the connections in the morning. when i said the gain was at 0 i meant it is turned all the way down...sorry about that.
