i have power in my factory radio but the speakers dont work. i took out the amp to check the connection all wires seemed to be in place. Took out the radio nothing was loose changed the amp/ trunk relay fuse. radio still doesnt work. The back speakers had been disconnected a while back and i saw the wires hanging loose could those wires have touched metal and shorted out the front speakers? Im just about out of ideas

Were the rear speakers factory with the factory plug or were they aftermarket with the female connectors ? If they were aftermarket and the wires touched together then you have shorted out your speaker outputs on the amplifier and they need to be replaced.
