i'm helping my friend install an aftermarket amp, but he wants to keep the factory bose head unit. i tried to persuade him to just get a new stereo, but he doesn't have the money.  Does anyone know how i can find instructions to install an output converter so i can set up his amp?

Are you keeping the Bose system intact and just adding a larger subwoofer?  If so, find the factory sub (what car is it?) and tap into the speaker leads of that sub, use an LOC to drive your aftermarket sub with the same signal.

it's a 2001 mazda 626.  I'm keeping all the factory components and adding a sub to it, but the original system doesn't come with a sub.  that was the tricky part.  i was told i need to find the wires carrying the low level signal to the speakers and tap into those wires... but i'm not really sure how to determine what wires to splice into...
