I am planning to run some standard rainbow component speakers off the headunit. And i am wondering if i may need to upgrade the factory power wire to the headunit with a better guage? cause i heard its not wise to hook up a CD player to your car without being sure of wire guage. Then ive been told no my factory wire should be ok to handle the power draw.
Im just wondering what i should do? i REALLY dont want to have to change the factory power wire if possibly so im wondering what my options are should i try hook it up and see what happens? surely the power wire must be fused in the car.
Thanks for any information.
Edit: these ones to be exact speakers http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/3967.html

you will be fine with the standard power wire for the radio. I personally would run new speaker wire for your components, but then again, i wouldnt run components off of HU power. I would amp them.

Why wouldnt you run them off hu power? i mean yes i do plan to put in an amp i just cannot afford it at the moment. Whats so bad if you run off HU power?
