For my bass I currently have a LanzarVibe241 stereo on (2) 4Ohm KickerComp 10's. Also a JensenJPA285 bridged on (1) 4Ohm RF P1 12".     (Non-CEA 250wrms on each 4Ohm KickerComp 10" and 250wrms on 4Ohm RF P1

I'm about to get an MTX 421D. Should I:

1. (2) 4Ohm KickerComp 10's in parallel on the MTX 421D and (1) 4Ohm RF P1 bridged on LanzarVibe241.     (425wrms split between KickerComp 10's, Non-CEA 400wrms on RF P1 12")

2. (1) 4Ohm RF P1 on MTX 421D and (2) 4Ohm KickerComp 10's stereo on LanzarVibe241.                            (200wrms on RF P1 12, Non-CEA 400wrms split between (2) KickerComp 10's)

3. Leave current setup.

I know you guys can help me achieve better bass, thanks!

C'mon, now! I know all the numbers can be confusing, but this is what i've got to work with. Please give your opinion on what I should do.

Thanks.

Ok. Ditch all that gear. Sell it, then save your money. Then after you have some money, buy your self a well thought out setup. If you are just looking for some loud bass, fine. Get your self some kicker L what evers or some MTX bass slamming one note wonders.

I've been where you are, and the only way to achieve what you truely want will cost you a little more than what you have invested. And get it installed professionally.

The thing is, this was all Very cheaply acquired. Someone's is giving me the MTX 421D. I'm satified with my current setup, about 650wrms (below 80Hz), but the 421D sure would be better than one of the two crap amps I have. I install everything myself (I really thought I knew what I was doing before joining the12volt.com, BTW) so this question is really based on my budget- which isn't much at all.

With budget of $0 (I'm plenty satified with what I have -plenty of wiring, too), I need to know which setup I suggested will have the most output.

I know you all want to write 'throw it all away and save up for real equipment', but I have Alpine and Clarion power for above 80Hz so i'm not as worried about having 'crappy' bass brands.

??? Any suggestions are highly regarded. Unless, of course, I disregard them upgrade suggestions -- posted image.. Thanks.

if you want to keep what you have, just try different configurations with the same song or test tone at the same volume and see which one you like best.
You will run into cancellation issues with different woofers, so you might have to play around with it. Also, woofer aiming could help you out here - what kind of car do you have?

I have a '95 Cavalier. I currently have the 3 woofers in sealed (rather small) boxes faced down on 4x4's with the front closed off, the only way for air to move is toward the rear. This made a huge difference in both SQ and SPL, gaining both, opposed to rear facing. This is my favorite way to face them, even though none of the 3 (2 Comp 10's, 1 RF P1 12") are 'sag worthy'.

I just figure that the first option I listed [LanzarVIbe241 bridged on RF P1 12", MTX 421D 2Ohm (2 10's in parallel)] would give me more bass then the way I have it now (LanzarVibe241 stereo on Comp 10's, JensenJPA285 bridged on RF P1 12").

Thanks for Any input.

if the amp is cheap enough it would be an upgrade from your jensen amp. I wouldnt hesitate to try it.
In a trunk-car rear facing subs seem to generally perform better than any other configuration. Are all of your subs in the same enclosure?

I would replace the jensen with the MTX definately, better amp, quality, more power, would have to help you somewhat. Put you closer to the subs rating as well, just my thoughts.
