Ok I hope this IS the most ridiculous thing you read...but I need some suggestions on how to deal with this customer...As he is not going away. (does not seem to think reasonably)

I installed a simple stereo 1 Pioneer headunit(DEHP 4800 or 4700), 2 door speakers (kenwood), 1 Alpine 10" and an amp. Plus a R/S.

Anyway this guy calls me almost daily complaing of static in his AM radio stations, I asked if there was static in FM or CD. He said no they sound great. I asked if it was more of a whine than static, he said no it is like on an old analog radio where the station is between stations.

He then said that it is not constant but happens in certain areas, mostly in the morning on the way to work. I asked if he had the same problem on the way home...no, he goes home a different way....

I've tried being understanding and accomadating to his "problem" And I've tried telling him to go fly a kite (prefrebly in a lighting storm)

I dont' think I am wrong that it is typical interference but how can I explain this any clearer to this guy? Suggestions?

Are there any diagrams I can show him of interference (joking)

Thanks in advance....this is serious, but feel free to laugh hysterically

If you have a different deck (not a pioneer) that is equal in features, and cost....swap it out. If you do a search on this site, you will find plenty of posts reguarding noise, and pioneer decks. One of whick I started. Just try it.

Also...what kind of car? antenna in the rear glass? Is the rear glass tinted? Good window film has metal in it....poor reception.
