I have a 1999 GMC Yukon Denali.  I have a bose factory radio at the moment but I want to install an aftermarket stereo receiver, a couple of amps and subs.  I have tried this before and the radio played but the cd would not play at all.  I was told by someone that I have to bypass the factory amp.  How would I go about bypassing the amp?  Do I need a line convertor?  I also read something about an amp turn on wire which is a pink wire.  What would I need to do with that wire?  Add a 12 volt source to it?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

If you are going to use the factory amp you will need to use the blue and white wire to the pink wire, however if you are going to use aftermarket  h.u. amps and subs you have to by-pass(wire around the factory amp) in order for it to work.  Good Luck.

There is no such thing as free installation!

the amp is behind the glove box and easy to get to.

I'd like to use aftermarket everything; amps, subs, head unit and all.  How do I go about bypassing the factory amp??  Question about the blue and white wire to the pink wire.  Would I have to bypass everything if I do that or would connecting those wires keep the factory amp on so that I can hook everything up as in a normal install??  Thanks alot for your help it is much appreciated

Probably a stupid question but how do I get behind the glovebox?  Is the amp right behind it or do I have to take more apart?  Thanks again

Open the glove box, on the right side of the glove boxes wall you'll see a rubber tab stopping it from opening any further. Just simply push it inward untill it clears. Goto ww.denalitrucks.com if you need any more in depth help w/your YD.
