I recently got a chevy S10 and wanted to put in my Pioneer DEH-6800 headunit.  I am really concerned about the potential RDS system because i am not sure if I have it or not.  Everywhere I have looked for a wire harness gives me a normal harness and not the $75 RDS wiring i thought.  Now my stock unit has RDS stamped on the front of it.  My biggest concern is tripping the stock theft deterrent system and really being screwed. Has anyone had the oppurtunity to work on an 2002 S10 and not needed  the RDS wiring kit?

your harness is a 70-2--3 (metra number) or Scosche GM05B
