heyy,
just wondering if some1 could give me a scenario where you would use the High Pass Filter function?
Also, cant you just reduce the bass instead of using the HPF?
fanx

I would say to allow the amp that is powering the high-pass speakers to use power more efficiently as it wouldn't have to push bass frequencies as well.

Yes, you can.

High pass filter should always be used on your main stereo speakers.  Set it to the same frequency as your LPF (low pass filter) used for the subs, or to the same as the LPF on your midwoofers if you use them.  For subwoofers, a "subsonic filter" is also a HPF and should be used for ported systems.

DYohn; Do you have to use a sub-sonic filter on ported boxes? Even if it's tuned real low and you're only using that sub for really low bass? -I know it's better for in the long run for the sub, but even if it's not getting rms wattage?
