I am not very savy on the whole install thing but I am trying to install a sub in my truck and what I need to know is how should I wire the sub, 2, 4, or 8 ohm, and maybe a little help on the wiring diagram. My components are:

Alpine M450 mono amp: 4ohm-220wx1, 2ohm-400wx1.

Infinity Reference series 10" sub: Impedance says 4 or 8 ohms, power handling 250w RMS 100w peak.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

I think you mean 250W RMS and 1000W peak.

If it's the 1050 then in that case you need to go with 4 ohm hookup.

If it's the 1052 then go with 2 ohm.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Wire the coils in parallel (both +'s to amp +, both -'s to amp -) to the amp -if it is a dual 4Ohm VC sub. This will yield a 2Ohm load on the amp = full power.
