I have been out of the audio world for a few years now.  My last stereo was 2 10 solo and 2 fosgate amps.  I am looking for some choices now on what to run in my reg. 98 s10.  I listen to techno, and rock.  I am looking to run at least 2 10 or 12's.  I know I need something with low depth.  I also want something with decent power handleing.  I DO NOT want a blow thru design box.  I want to run a regular sealed box.  Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

No, because what's "best" will vary from person to person and from installation to installation.  You have to decide for yourself based on  what you want and how much you can spend and what your design goals are.

Very true, but some some info on whats good and whats junk would really help.  Hows this.  I need a sub in the 150 - 200 range.  The amp to match around 300 - 500.  That help much?  Like I stated.  I wanted to have some personal opinions for DEPTH and BRAND.  I know audiovox sucks, and I know that a w7 is outta the question.  Just some actual usefull input.  Thanks

TCSounds TC1000. 10 inch woofer, 600 watts, relatively shallow driver, LONG throw, and likes tiny sealed boxes, i.e; .4 to 1.0 cubic foot each. DVC4 ohm, you'll be able to get a moderate quality 500 to 700 watt (@ 1 ohm) amp for not much money, to match to them, as well. $160 each, shipped. FANTASTIC sound quality woofer, which WILL go deep, and play fairly loud, as well.
DYohn is right, again, because this is a VERY subjective Q/A session. What I like, you might not. What you like, I probably won't... that's just human nature.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I also agree with that.  But the more opinions I get the more I learn.  Most of the brands that have mentioned I have never heard about.  GREAT!  If anyone else has some opinions keep them coming.  I have research to start doing.  I will post up pics when i decided and how the install goes.
