I have these ol school subs in my car and was wondering what kind it is.

It has a capital red "R" looking symbol with a white lightning decal going across it. It doesn't say anything in the back but just the words "asmc-1r" on the cone. I'm thinking it's a Red-line sub? I belive it's a dvc sub cuz there's 2 wires connecting to the underside of the cone.

It's a 12 incher so I was wondering what sub it is and what's the estimated watts it can handle? Don't have a picture of it.. sorry. I've been running it with this amp http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/archive/thunder302.cfm for awhile now with no damage (I think).

Anyhow.. just wanted to know what kind of sub and how many ohms it is so I can use the 2 ohm load on the amp to power it... want to know first before I try it cuz I don't want to damage the amp to begin with. Any suggestions and would it be ok if I was to wire it up to a 2 ohm load and let the amp push it?

what I would do is get a digital multi-meter and meter the coil to find out the resistance, then start smal with power.
