basslink 2 problem

Today i installed the basslink2 on a 06 scion tc. -I tapped the speaker wires & ignition wire from the back of the radio. -ran 10ga wiring for power & ground The problem is...It plays for a while and then no sound, but the light for on is still on. Plays for like 10 mins, and to get it back on, i have to turn the radio on & off. When the sub is hitting the speakers sound low, & when it's off the speakers get a boost in sound. It sounds great when it hits, but no idea what's going on with it. -Maybe i should use a line out converter and run rcas -What do you guys think? thanks

where did you ground it???

to bare metal under the back seat
