Hey guys, i have two MTX Audio subwoofers, 400 watts rms 800 peak. I also have a Kicker 850.2 amplifier, 800 watts rms but the birt certificate reads somewhere around 960 or something. My question to you all here is, when i hook the system up in my car should i get another battery (which i really dont wanna do, but i will if i have to) or a capacitor (which i know if frowned upon. I already have huge gauged wireing and all the fuses etc. But i wanna know if i can just hook it up with what i got, being the good wires and 150 amp fuse etc. Please let me know and i thank you all in advanced.

It'll work okay.   Your headlights might dim a bit along with the bass.

If anything, get a deep cycle battery like an Optima Yellow, but that probably won't be necessary.

Definately do this:
