Anyone have any problems with their A/C Fan Switch inducing noise? I just stumbled across this. I was playing with the switch after installing my CD8445 headunit and then I noticed that while turning the switch I was getting the engine whine noise.
I think I may have found my engine noise problem.

I've had this before but it was not the fan. I ended up changing out the fan with a totally different one and the problem was still there. I was told that it was the motor that was inducing the noise. I used a power filter for the power wire, grounded the fans directly to the battery, used relays to power the fans & also changed out the HU & amplifier.

So did you get it fixed/resolved?

No, what the customer did was he thought he had it figured out by changing out the fans again with ones from eBay and the problem was still there. I tried to change out RCA's as well for him and this was months ago and had not heard back from him since if the noise was there or not. So basically I don't know if the RCA's did the trick or he figured he's going to have to deal with it, but he never came back to me after.

I will call Eclipse Tech support and see what they say about the RCA's.
