I have the Cadence CVL-6K components and love them. I have them on a stock Nakamichi headunit. Every once in a while the midbass will peak during transition in (+3db mode) and resisting an expensive active EQ system.
I was previously thinking that maybe the best passive crossover A/D/S 345is or 346is would minimize my issues.
After comparing the size of the crossovers, I am not sure if purchasing the A/D/S will yield any better results. The Cadence appear to be built very well.
Anyone with any experience with these 2 top performers?

I don't recommend swapping different manufacturers crossovers... Likely you will end up with other issues while POSSIBLY fixing something else.
Active is a VERY good option, and certainly better than swapping one passive for another.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
