Started building a box for 2 10" subs the other day, and before finishing attaching the last panels I started wondering if this design will cause some acoustical phase problems.  The idea was to make a sealed box that has the subs orientated to be facing up towards the ceiling (since it's a floor build) angled towards each other at a 38 degree angle.  Then a false floor with an acrylic viewing window with some sort of design cut into it for air flow would be added to finish off the look.  Would this design cause some acoustical problems since the sub's sound waves would interfere with each other possibly canceling each other out?  Here's a pic of the box so far so you can see how the angles are set up.   Of course the subs will be mounted in the angled panels facing towards each other, and I have only test fitted one side so far.  The right side is a mirror image of the left.

From what I here, having a setup like this will actually be alright. The 2 subs pushing air together (same signal to subs, correct phase wiring) is like one big one.

You'll get more detailed responses with fancy words soonly.

The only way they would cancel each other out is if the leads were switched on one sub (assuming they are both facing the same way -fronts out or inverted). One would be moving in while the other would be moving in, making them cancel each other out.

You'll be fine.
That's as fancy words as I can get at 6:17 a.m.!
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
