I've searched for 2 days straight and think I'm making my girlfriend mad by ignoring her in my search for information to help me with my install.
I have an 05 Grand Caravan SXT SSE with the factory DVD/Infinity system. I've located the stock amp (right rear quarter panel behind the speaker hole) and now I need the wiring diagram so I can tap into the factory wiring.
What I'm installing:
AudioControl LC8
Alpine mono amp (for sub)
Alpine 4ch amp
1.2 Ferrad Cap
Am I right in thinking I can tap the wire harness that plugs into the factory amp, then run out to the LC8, then run RCA's to my amps and run speaker wires off the 4ch and tap into the factory harness at the factory amp again to feed power to the speakers?
Please, someone in the know... help me!!!!!!!!!!
As for professional install, I've been to 4 local shops and do NOT like what I hear when I ask them how they plan to achieve my install. I also don't like hearing they want $300-400 to install a couple amps.
I have Stow-N-Go as well, so I'd like to place the amps myself, so I don't ruin the functionality of the van.
Thanks all.
Bob

Yes that is correct. You will need to tap into the output of the OEM amplifier for the signal to be usable on the Audio Control LC8 unit. According to their manual the input sensitivity of the LC8 unit can accept up to 400 watts of power which really doesn't help you know if the unit can accept a low input voltage like the output come from the HU.
