I currently work at Circuit City, and whenever we get any newer GM vehicle that has the door chime through the speaker we always use the GMOS01/04 (depending on bose or non-bose) due to the risk of having airbags, etc. running through the radio. Is there any way of determining which vehicles really do need the GMOS vs just a normal metra 2003 harness and running a switched power? I feel bad charging everyone the $120 for the part, but without having a way to know if any major systems use the factory radio, I would rather not take the risk.
Thanks
Kenny

Most of the guides you might have at you disposal, will give you the answer you desire.

Metraonline.com is a good source if you don't have a hard copy of a book.

i use the book/ metra online, and have always used the digital interface if it says to... I just know that some other local shops just use the basic harness to save customers money... so I wasnt sure if there was a way to tell if it really needed the digital adapter or not.
Thanks for the responses.
