subsonic filters

I wanted to know how hard would it be to make a subsonic filter. I wanted to make one that goes in-line with my RCAs. Everytime i try to figure out how people tell me how to make one for my subs. I don't care how hard or expensive it would be I just want to know. Thanks. P.S. - Please don't tell me to buy one!!!!

Those are just RLC networks. Using basic crossover formulae, you can duplicate them but you must know the input impedance of your amplifier. I've never been a fan of those, as the frequency can (and DOES) drift, based on the input impedance of the downstream device. BUT, if so desired, you can certainly build them quite easily for the purpose, and they will work.It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

That what i was looking for. That is what i thought at first but people kept giving me complex circuits and such. I was thinking it was that simple.

just wanted to say I got mine from Harris Labs and it looks like a nice piece of equipment - i think it is what you are looking for - adjustable subsonic filter from 20-40hz in 5hz increments. They also were kind enough to enclose a pamphlet that was about the afterlife..
