I put one of these into my 07 Chevrolet Silverado, and I am using the remote wire that comes off of it to power on my amp.  I believe this signal wire is causing my amp to turn on and off when I am not in the pickup and causing my battery to go dead.  Anyone ever experience this?

Yes I have had some TR-4s and Trunck-LOCs fail but usually they don't turn the amp on. Only remember one time the amp was left on. They're not that expensive, try another one.
There is no such thing as free installation!
