Hi All, new in town......

Here is a pic of my ignition wiring. I am wanting to loose the ignition and go to a rocker switch. I have a three connection rocker right now and it seems to be working fine but there are 4 wires going to the switch, one of which I left off so, I want to do this right.

I am not sure what I am even looking at here but it looks like the ignition connects two sets of wires. Do I need a 4 terminal double throw switch? Any help would be appreciated.

What is the current rating of the switch?  Do you ever intend of using the Park position?

If the switch is a Double Pole Double Throw switch, with an On-Off-On format, you can easily do what you need to do, including the park function. If it is a Double Pole Single Throw switch, you can use it, but the park function will not be capable. If it is a Single Pole switch, you will have to use a relay in conjunction with the switch to get what you need.
What kind of switch do you have?

NOt sure what the switch is. I will be going out and buying another one. I got this one from an automotive custom shop. All I know is its 20a two position rocker (off/on) three terminals on the back.

That sounds like it is an illuminated Single Pole Single Throw switch. If you want, you can use it along with a relay.
