does anyone know what might be draining the battery on this fatboy i installed a merlin alarm from DEI and if its sits for a couple days the battery goes dead any help would be great

Did you add an ignition or starter interrupt relay? If so and if you used a constant 12V source instead of an ignition 12V source for the relay, that would be enough to drain the battery.

merlin alarm has built in relay for starter should i be bypassing the built in relay and tap into ign. wire?

If it has a built in relay, use it and make sure you connected the ignition input of the alarm to an ignition 12V source (wire only shows 12V when the key is in the on/run position). Did you connect any other accessories or relays? If so, please list them.

yes i put in a relay for LED's its on channel 2 whitch is a latched system i have the relay direct from the battery should this be changed? this unit also has a battery backup siren whitch i have installed before and never had a problem .
