music cuts out on high beam

My motorcycle plays music through the MP3 player on the Garmin GPS.  I have a small amplifier in a saddlebag.

The motorcycle has a headlight modulator on it and whenever I put the headlight's high beam on the music cuts out and instead of a steady high beam the headlight starts modulating.

I am looking for a electronics person in Central Texas to fix this.

Is the amp's power wire connected directly to the battery?  Did you possibly connect the remote wire of the amp to the low beam headlight wire?   Using a volt meter check and see if the remote wire is losing power when the high beams are turned on.  If you turn the modulator off, and turn on the high beams, does it still cut out?

Your probably drawing to much current with the high beam on.  If the High works fine with amp off, then check alt. and battery and grounds.  You may need to upgrade for a bit more power.

A local sound man called me and I am taking the bike to his home this morning.  He thinks its as simple as the wrong lead from the amp was attached to the power.  Yes, the headlight works fine  without the amp being on.
