Hi, Just looked at this thread:

Seems I got sucked into buying the same alarm. Begged the seller for a wiring diagram, but none given. I looked at the diagram at http://www.hsalarms.com/wiring.php. I did get it hooked up, but it seems that its not sensitive enough. I can kick the bike a good one without it going off. I literally need to kick the area where the processor sits to get it to go.

Anyone have any idea why this may be? There does not seem to be a sensitivity adjustment. Also, the brown wire hooks to the accessory. I did not hook this up, as I am unsure what its for...Can someone enlighten me?

The double post was a mistake, I didnt realize it happened.

I tried to mount a few different places, seems to be about the same. It's shock sense seems to be limited to the area around the alarm. I can walk away with the thing and the alarm will not go off.

The problem is, I ordered the unit through e-bay. There is no model #, and it seems slighly different then the models they show on the site.

If you can find a negative trigger input, which I assume it must have, you could just hook up a separate shock sensor for it. They're available at pretty low cost, got mine for about $5. I have one on hooked up to my paging alarm, and it'll pick up a tap on the footpegs with little trouble, and no falses yet.

My advise would be to immediately remove it from the motorcycle and smash it to little pieces with a hammer.

I went through the SAME thing with that asshat. When I FINALLY got it to work, it lasted about a month. Wiring was still perfect. The internals of the unit took a dump. The M/C owner gave me permission to take it out and smash it. He wanted to send it back to the guy to show his appreciation for such a fine piece of electronics. Just saw the listing on ebay for the thing- remote start for a motorcycle??

That just seems like an answer looking for a question-

If you pitch it, this is something that is pretty versatile, and small enough to easily stash in a bike -

Commando Pager

No need to arm or disarm, since it's active when you shut the bike off. Don't even have to bother with pressing buttons on the pager unit, since it won't latch on after sounding off, so you can just let it time out, without having to take it out to reset it every time.

It doesn't draw much power on standby, and the pager lets you know if anyone's tampering with it, so you can make formal introductions to Mr. Louisville. Thor Motorcycle Alarm -- posted image.

micro make system which i'm told is good try theres if a new shock doesn't work out for you although th new sensor should be just the ticket. put it onto any neg trigger

Do you mean the Brown wire? What is a negative trigger. Sorry for my ignorance.

sorry a neg trigger is a wire that when given a neg will trigger the alarm. not sure if the brown is a neg trigger . you will have one on the original shock sensor..

if its single zone it will have one neg trigger. and a constant 12v+ and constant earth.

if its dual zone it will have a warn away neg trigger and a full triger.

so 4 wires or 3 goint to you sensor. use your DMM to test which is the trigger you want
