Yes adapt a Compustar antenna to it... lol

Just having fun... it can be four things;

1- Bad Ground (always the same old school comment) (hey the bad ground can be at the antenna, check the cable integrity)

2- Bad Power (pretty rare, why not!)

3- Bouncing RF in the vehicle which frequency this r.s. use and in which car did you install

4- the antenna or the remote have a bad crystal heterodyne oscillator.

1 & 2 are easy to check and solve

3- depends on the vehicle and RF frequency of the starter

4- Return defective components

If you fail on your first attempt, at least destroy all evidence you tried!

Where are you trying to remote start it? City, suburb? The one-way ultrastarter r/s i install work AWESOME in the suburbs (no RF interference) and then fall flat on their faces in the city (with the big buildings, etc).  I literally have had to put the keyfob to the windshield to get a response in the city, but that SAME vehicle and remote starter i've had up to 1/4 mile in the 'burbs... i think interference is a big deal on many 433mhz systems, particularly non-spread spectrum varieties.

How are the batteries in your keyfob?  Some of those units sit on the shelf for many months ..even years.
