Hello All,

Perhaps someone can help me. I have installed a remote starter and everything works fine of course except when its cold. The instructions I have found have shown me their is a second starter wire needing to be connected to the output on the starter output on the brain. I originally connected this to the starter output from the ignition switch and same problem. If someone could help me locate the second starter wire and if it is indeed the same colour BLACK / YELLOW. Any info is appreciated. -20'C in Canada right now and no way the truck will start with the remote. Everything else works on the remote start except this second starter wire.

Thanks

TombFate

What is the exact make and model of your remote start?
If your system offers a low current negative output you would wire up a relay like:
85 and 87: Constant fused +12V
86: Negative starter output from RS
30: Out to second starter RED / black in vehicle
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
