I have been trying to put a remote start in my manual 1992 Toyota Camry V6 and am trying to install the AGA1201 shown here http://aftermarketgeneration.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_28&products_id=32 have been having a few problems
1. I can't seem to find the emergency brake connection, and haven't found a guide that tells me where it is.
2. In the manual it says that in order to arm it to be remote started at a later time the car a)should be on, then b)I should remove the key and it should keep running till c) I close the door.
My problem is that it just wont do this. It blinks it flashes but at no point has kept my car on. It doesn't say that I should push any buttons in order to make it do this.
Needless to say any guide for my car would be greatly appreciated, I have used a wiring diagram but thus far they haven't given me the necessary information to complete this task.
Thanks
John Q

For the connection on the ebrake.... there must be a switch at the ebrake lever itself. You will need to get to it and meter your wires. There will be something there that triggers the idiot light. If all else fails.... go to the idiot light. You NEED this to get into your reservation mode for a safe start up on a manual trans.

None of the info I have, shows the location and or color of the ebrake wire.....shouldn't be too tough to get though.

I checked a guide that I think you sent me but I have already checked over numerous wire guides similar to it. All of the ones listed on that guide provide signal to my regular brakes, not my emergency. My largest problem as of right now is the fact I can't get it to remain on when I take the key out.

The unit WILL NOT go into reservation mode with out the e brake.  Provided this unit IS manual safe!

The link you sent shows reservation/turbo mode..... It did NOT say for manual trans, so be carefull.

It is made for manual it has me cut a wire on the unit itself and then it will make sure its in reservation mode.

@ the hand brake, there is a switch. test it. If i remember,on the 95 toyota camery, its a blue wire that is negative (-). If u know how to take ur deck or factory radio out, there will be a huge bundle of wires to the left that is taped. if u open it, u should find it.  but check @ your handbrake switch first to see what wire colour, then trace it down.

Well I think with all the random problems I may just pay someone to install it, it's a bit of a project but I will post back if I find out something new.
