I installed a RS on a 03 Avalanche but have one problem.  When the RS is activatied, it start the car fine but the factory alarm goes off.  I connected the factory OEM alarm disarm wire to the lt green wire on the BCM purple plug.  All the information I have shows this to be the (-) trigger OEM disarm wire.  Any thoughts?

Thanks

What bypass module did you use? What RS system did you install?
The analog factory alarm disarm wire is a light green wire negative trigger, but it is at the driver door module in the door not available at the BCM.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

I did it for a friend, he got a Mars 11 RS and omega bypass, as for the light green wire at the window module, is that the module at the door switch?  The sheet I got said both at the window mod. and the BCM.

You did test the green wire at the BCM, and not just blindly connect to it, right?
The correct disarm wire is only available inside the door from 2003-up.
If you use a databus module to control the doorlocks from the aftermarket remote, that'll take care of the disarm too.
Also, these trucks only make a very brief horn honk when remote starting; I'm surprised your friend is bothered by it.

The driver's door module and window module are one and the same...the big stupid piece with locks/windows/mirror switches.

To my knowledge on all '03-06 GM full-size trucks/SUVs the disarm wire is only at the driver's door module - BCMs are different from the '99-'02 models, which didn't use a driver's door module.

Testing it - connect your meter's red lead to 12v+, black lead to the green wire. When you turn the key in the door to unlock, meter should read +12 volts.
