i've been working on a 1998 seville sts for a week now. i'm hooking up a hornet 564t and i'm using a 1700g bypass. i got the everything to work but the starter. i've tried the 2 pk3 wires, using a resister to the pink pk3 wire, there is a keysense wire on the bypass but the caddy doesn't have one. i was going to use the 556u but again the car has no keysense wire. . i had a friend that has a shop but he couldn't get it to work either.I really need some help with this one

Hello I was looking at the website but it does not list that the 1700g will work on that vehicle. Get an xk01 or xk06 from bypasskit instead. Either one of those will work just fine.

On my 99 SLS I had the same problem. At the module above the gas pedal there is a wire that must be grounded when the remote start kicks to start sequence.Shouldn't be too hard to test for. It took forever to figure this out.
Here's a quote from bypasskits.com support
(Mine didn't need the diode)
Good luck!

A: The ’98 & ‘99 Cadillac Seville SLS/STS have the ignition cylinder mounted on the dash. The PK3 is located above the gas pedal and there is a YELLOW/BLACK wire which tests ground when the vehicle is running with the key. Offering a ground source to this wire via the GWR (-) output from the remote starter, will correct this issue. A DIODE will be required when only 1-output is available from the remote system which is already being used to activate the data solution bypass kit.
Connect the ANODE (silver stripe) end to the output of the remote system & bypass kit wires which have already been connected together. Connect the CATHODE (opposite) end to the YELLOW/BLACK wire found at the PK3 module. Now, test remote system.
This problem only occurs when using any type of DATA solution bypass kit for the PK3 system in these vehicles.
