Hello, I had a remote start Installed (Avital 4000) in a 2006 Toyota Sienna. The car starts fine with the Remote but the automatic climate control does not come on ( so no heat) the climate control comes on when you turn the key to on position. I brought it back to the installer he worked on it again but he was unable to figure out how to wire the unit to make the climate control come on. He said he both ignitions and the acc are powered. He said he would have to do some research to figure it out. Could you please give me some information that I can pass onto the installer to help him finish the job. Since he is 90% there I would like him to finish instead of pulling everything out and going somewhere else. Thanks

The accs. is a small pink. The installer needs to make sure he's getting output from the remote start. There is nothing really tricky about this rig.

Agreed with KarTuneMan.
You mentioned automatic climate control, so you must have an XLE or a Limited. On those models, the climate controls don't work unless the accessory wire is powered.
Do the radio and power mirrors work when the van is remote started? They're on the same circuit that needs to be powered.....if they don't come on, it's a good sign that the car's accessory wire isn't seeing power.
The wire harness that comes down the steering column on the Sienna has many like-color wires, and I think there are several pinks in there.
Either the installer is connected to the wrong pink wire, or he's on the right wire, but either he has a poor connection or a defective output from the remote starter.
He should either sort through all the pink wires very carefully, testing to make sure he's got the one that shows power when the key is in the ACC and ON positions, or he can remote the steering column cover, and make his connection directly at the ignition switch to avoid any confusion.

Thanks for the help guys. Yes, the Sienna is the limited with the automatic climate control. The installer said he has the accessory powered, but he must be mistaken because when car is remote started the radio, mirrors and climate control do not work.
I do have a question.. When I turn key to the acc position the radio and mirrors work but the climate control does not work. When I turn the key to the on position everything works. So, even if the installer powers the acc correctly is there something else that has to be done? What wire has to be powered to simulate the key being in the on position?
Thanks again for your help.
