Hi all, what a great forum you have here. Ive got some info from the search etc but i need your expert help.

I bought an alarm for my car FORD FOCUS 1999 1.8 Zetec Mk1.

The alarm in a AOLIN which i gather is not the best of makes but now ive got it I'll fit it. I have currently fitted the alarm body, siren, indicators. Thats it at the moment.

I have a wiring diagram that i can follow to a point , as certain things are obvious and i can get to them ok. I have downloaded a couple of your wiring diagrams but still stuck with the following..

I have attatched a diagram that i have and i wonder if someone can interpret this for in basic english for a novice. Im quite happy with electrics and finding wires, its the exact locations i cannot find.

The main problem i have is the starter circuit which involves a relay of sorts. This is my main issue. I need tom know where to find the wires i need to connect to and what colours they are.. This would make the job alot easier as you may know.

I also want to know where to put the Dome light wire and the Electric window wire.

I do have central locking on the car but this is baffling me how to wire this up so ive left that bit at the moment..

If anyone could help me plz do let me know by interpretting the below diagram.

I am capable but need some expert help from you guys who do it all the time..

Thankyou for your time..

Paul

they relay is one you supply to disable the starter circuit. You can find one at any automotive supply store. You will need a single pole double throw relay for the diagram above. As for in car it might be different from U.S. to U.K.
The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.

I do already have the relay supplied. I just dont know about wiring it up, Its the wiring advice i need as well as the other bits i asked above..Do i have to actually break the original cable from the ignition to the starter motor and wire up the relay to those cables?

I thought that there may be some expert that may have know which wires and location im looking for in the car as well..

Take starter wire and cut. The key side will go to pin 30 and the starter side will go to pin 87a. you need to tap into and not cut ignition and wire that to pin 85. The other pin is wired to the alarms negative output while armed so it disengages the start circuit when key is turned and alarm is on. If the alarm is off the starter will engage as usual.

Thankyou for that, Just a question regarding the dome light. Can that wire be found in the wiring around the dashboard or kick panels?  and another question With the window power  wire (-)  from the alarm can i tap into both left and right hand side window wires at the same time?

Paul

for windows, you will need a power window rollup module.  as for domelight uding the door pins will work as well.
